Having decided to re-decorate but wanting more than a "lick of paint", I contacted Sophia to discuss how she could help me achieve a fresh look, including replacing the staircase and constructing a new fire hearth/surround. From her first visit to discuss the staircase and hearth plus a colour palette, I was confident Sophia would create a new look for me. The building work( removal and fitting of a bespoke staircase and new hearth) went smoothly with minimal disruption. We have now completed our third project with Sophia and once again we have been extremely happy with the result. Our focus of one project a year starting with living room, then onto entrance/hallway and this years endeavour being garden room/office space, means all three areas now reflect who we are, what we like and ultimately how we enjoy the space. I found Sophia to be very considerate of personal preferences during the planning process, she comes up with great ideas and is very efficient in producing the plans and is very flexible. My wife and I had Golden Feathers redesign and remodel our kitchen. From design through project management to final build they were excellent. Specifically, the design was imaginative and tailor made to how we use our kitchen. The project management was tightly managed, co-ordinating with and managing suppliers. The build and finishing design touches are to a very high standard. The project finished on time and almost bang on the budget. Out of many things I liked, I’ll just mention two but I consider them to be very important. Firstly, we had a combination of bespoke work and off the shelf stuff. The former is of a terrific design and high quality workmanship while the latter was selected by Golden Feathers from a range of different suppliers to get exactly the right look. Secondly, this was a big project and there was bound to be some snagging. We were asked to provide a list, which we supplied to Sophia on a ‘snagging’ visit to us after the work. She then arranged for the various snags to be sorted out to our satisfaction, which they are now. To summarise, from the initial design meetings to the after care, we couldn’t be happier with our new kitchen and the way the project was approached, managed and executed.Read More

The actual building/construction work is not due to begin until Jan 2023, so this review is in the context of design, planning and organisation. I have absolute confidence in Golden Feathers. The best way I can describe it is that they are sitting on the same side of the table as me. They are always willing to lead, but also great listeners. As stated, the building work has yet to begin but the design and planning stages are completed 100% satisfactorily. Many of the qualities I value most highly have been evident in the way Golden Feathers behaves and acts. For example, they ask good questions and bother to listen to the answers. Everything regarding the project revolves around what is best for me. I truly believe that they will only be happy if I absolutely adore the end result of the project.
